Your district invests in devices, software and time. My TIM Journey helps teachers turn that investment into what matters most: students who think, create and take ownership of their learning.
Classroom technology keeps changing. What lasts is the relationship between a teacher and their students.
My TIM Journey builds on that relationship. It helps teachers use each new tool to hand students more of the thinking, so the technology serves the learning.
The Journey explores five characteristics of meaningful learning. Together, they describe classrooms where students are
Using technology to discover, build and solve problems for themselves.
Using technology to work with classmates and experts, in the room and beyond it.
Connecting new ideas to what they already know and building understanding of their own.
Working on meaningful problems with the tools people use in the world outside school.
Setting goals, planning, and checking their own progress along the way.
Teachers, coaches and leaders describe great learning the same way, from classroom to boardroom.
The Journey is built on the Technology Integration Matrix, developed by the Florida Center for Instructional Technology at the University of South Florida. Its five levels, from Entry to Transformation, echo decades of classroom research, including the Apple Classrooms of Tomorrow study.
My TIM Journey turns that framework into a personal experience: each teacher starts from where they already are and chooses the area they most want to grow.
Short, self-paced steps fit a planning period. Progress saves automatically.
Journals stay private. Teachers choose what to share with a coach, one reflection at a time.
Every teacher leaves with one small step chosen for their own students, grade band and subject.
Teachers' own progress and reflections. Student information stays out by design, and each district sees only its own teachers.
District leaders can see, by school, how many teachers have completed each destination. The richer signal shows up in classrooms, as students take on more of the thinking in everyday lessons.
The Journey is self-paced and moves a few screens at a time. Teachers fit it into the time they have, and districts can pace it across a semester.
