A map for handing more of the thinking to your students, one small step at a time.
My TIM Journey helps you get your students doing more of the thinking. It's a map that shows you where you already are, where technology truly helps, and one small step you can try tomorrow.
Self-paced · Eight destinations · Built on the Technology Integration Matrix
Every teacher starts in the same place and finishes in their own classroom. In between, you explore five destinations in whatever order you like, with students at the center of each one.
Start with your own best learning moment, travel From Chalkboards to Chatbots, then mark where you already are and pick one row of the Matrix to grow.
Any route you like. All five before Apply.
Each destination looks at learning through one characteristic of the Matrix, in other teachers' classrooms.
Bring it home. Choose one cell for your own students and plan one small step, with examples for your grade band and subject.
Put the whole Matrix together, take a Second Look at where you are now, and see where your path goes next.
Each destination moves through the same rhythm, a few screens at a time, so you always know what comes next.
Discover the big idea by working with real examples first, then put a name to the pattern you noticed.
Step into classrooms at different levels and see what changes when students take on more of the thinking.
Practice recognizing each level for yourself, then reflect on what it would look like with your own students.
Close each Explore destination by putting its five levels in order, then sort the whole Matrix at the end of the Journey.
Practical first steps tucked at the end of each Spot It, ready whenever you want an easy place to begin.
Your Passport is home base. It shows every destination on your Journey, marks each one Completed with a stamp, and takes you straight back to where you left off.
Your journal travels with you, too. Every reflection you write along the way is saved, so you can look back and see how your thinking grows.
Tell the Journey your grade band and subject, and the Apply destination fills with ideas from classrooms like yours.
Next time students build a shared project, hand them the planning: they divide the roles, set their checkpoints, and choose the tool that fits the job. You coach the conversation and listen for how they reason through the choices.
Everyone travels the same Journey. Then your own path begins, shaped by your Starting Point and the row you chose to grow.

In developmentThe Journey is about building the habit of reflection. Your journal stays private, and you decide if a single entry is worth sharing with your coach. Leaders see progress through the destinations, and your words stay with you.
Your Starting Point takes just a few minutes, and your Passport saves every step.
